As manufacturing technology advances, finding talent to sustain these improvements becomes more challenging.

Michael and Mia Shaluly of the Shaluly Foundation, LLC are making a difference in future manufacturing workers by sponsoring an annual community event resulting in numerous scholarships.

The 8th annual 5K for Manufacturing Education was held on Saturday, October 21^st, 2023 at Marina Park, 110 Veterans Memorial Lane in Safety Harbor, Florida.

This year’s Halloween themed event “Ghouls for Tools” encouraged entrants in costume and was a lot of fun for the over 400 participants! Prizes were given for best costumes, as well as trophies for the top 3 Men and top 3 women runners!

The ever-popular Kids’ Dash was especially fun with the little ones in costume! 

We are pleased to announce that this year’s event yielded $28,438 and these proceeds were distributed to the following organizations for scholarships:

• SME ( Society of Manufacturing Engineers)
• BAMA ( Bay Area Manufacturers Association)
• Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs
• AmSkills

Our past 8 events have yielded over $195,497 for manufacturing career seekers!

The 9^th annual 5K for Manufacturing Education will be Sunday, October 27, 2024.
